In this activity I demonstrated these IB attitudes:

  • Confidence: feeling confident in their ability as learners, having the courage to take risks, applying what they have learned and making appropriate decisions

  • Independence: thinking and acting independently, making their own judgments based on reasoned principles and being able to defend their judgments

My reflection about my Animoto video: ( What did I enjoy, what did I find challenging, how could I improve next time, things that I am proud of...)

I think Animoto is a really good sight to use to make a movie with pictures. It was a little challenging and annoying gong on to drop box back and forth.

Subject: Persuaders


My learner profile for this activity: Thinkers - Communicator - Risk-Takers. Because it took a lot of think to come up with what we did and we had to communicate with each other to get out what I thought. Also we were risk takers because we had to preform it on camera.


In this activity I demonstrated these IB attitudes:

  • Cooperation: cooperating, collaborating and leading or following as the situation demands
  • Creativity: being creative and imaginative in their thinking and in their approach to problems.

I chose this piece of work because: 

I think it was a really fun thing and was cool to make. It was interesting to go through an add is made, but I'm shore it isn't completely like what we did. It was a really nice experience though and was a good way to build on team work!


I think the whole planning of the ad was a little hard but very fun. If I could do it again though I think I could do better, but I still think I did a good job.

4) Were you surprised by the results? Yes, a little but I was mostly surprised by the entertainment because I didn't think that I had that much media around me that was pleasure.

  1. Do I use specific media for specific purposes? Well I think I used most media for finding things out because on computers I research things and on T.V. I mostly found things out.
  2. Do I link specific media formats and use to specific relationships? No, I don't really think that except that every day I would have the radio on in the car on the way to school or back.
  3. How does my media use relate to stress levels or to specific days of the week? Well I think most of the stress I had was on Tuesday because it's quite a tight schedule because I have a club that runs very late.
  4. What role does media play in my life? I think it mostly gives answers to me.

 
Subject: Roses are Red

My learner profile for this activity: Inquirer - Knowledgeable - Thinkers - Communicator  - Open-Minded - Caring - Reflective.

I included different types of poem like haiku's, limerick's and free verse.
I think when doing this I showed these learner I.B. attributes: Thinker, because I had to think alot about my work and also when problems appeared I had to think about it before I just clicked buttons.
I also think I showed independence because I was able to do things by my self and also help other people with it too.  I think I had a lot of curiosity in this project because when something went wrong I thought about it and was able to ask myself questions so I could fix it. I also think there was a lot of creativity in this project when I was writing the poems and matching the music to the pictures and poems.


I proud of this piece of work because: I was able to finish it in a short amount of time and I think I did a pretty good. My favorite slide was the one about the waves because I think I had good word choice and sentence fluency and also I liked the haiku poem because I found it cool how I was able to do it. Also the last poem I like most is the one about recycling because it sends out a good message! So those were all my favorite slides.
